The Enviro Label

The Enviro Label is a new innovative, environmentally friendly alternative to current integrated label forms primarily used by internet and multi-channel retailers. Traditional integrated labels can already be produced on 100% recycled paper and the paper itself can also be recycled again, however the silicon patch applied to the reverse of the sheet is not able to be recycled.

As a solution to this problem pickitpackit.co.uk in conjunction with eco3 are now able to offer to the UK the Enviro Label that is not only made from 100% recycled paper, but is also 100% recyclable and fully laser guaranteed. By applying just a thin layer of silicon, the waste and the label can be recycled as paper when diluted in the recycling stream. The Enviro Label was developed in Europe to meet strict new re-cycling requirements which are not yet enforced in the UK.

So how does it work?

The Enviro label removes the need for the silicon backer patch by laying down a small area of UV dried silicon to the face of the form, in much the same way that ink is applied to paper. A layer of aggressive hot melt adhesive is then applied on top of this to which the label is attached. This process uses substantially less silicon content than traditional integrated label forms making it the most environmentally friendly integrated label form available today.

How else can this form benefit my business?

The Enviro label is clearly an innovative product, but its innovations do not stop there. In addition to the clear environmental benefits this form can offer you it is also able to make your despatch notes work harder for you. By removing the silicon patch this has also freed up a substantial space on the back of the form which can be used to implement a returns form, cross sell additional products or make your customers aware of important information.

We can also pre-print underneath the label before it is applied giving you more space to work with. One concept already widely used across Europe is to pre-print returns information underneath the returns label as this information will only need to be read should the customer have a requirement to remove and use the returns label.
